John and I looking forward to volunteering through NTC’s Day of Service at the WildTech CCNV 1st Annual eCycle DC! We’re inviting out DC area friends to stop buy and donate your organizations extra computer, monitors, printers, empty toner and ink cartridges and peripherals.
Everyone Wins: This event “provides the homeless and unemployed with multiple job skills and an income through refurbishing and recycling electronics. Refurbished computer systems are provided to low income families.”
The Details:
When: Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 7:00am-6:00pm
Where: Community of Creative Non-Violence (CCNV) Homeless Shelter, 425 Second Street NW, Washington, DC 20001
Who: Any company, non-profit organization or government agency that wants to dispose of surplus computer equipment in an ecologically sound “Green” manner while helping the homeless launce a technology recycling enterprise.
Free: There is no cost to drop of equipment. Donation receipts provided for tax purposes.
Optional: Cash donations requested to help us process older and hazardous items: Tube Monitor $9, Pentium I,II and III computer - $5, big printer $5-$9, misc. items $1-$5.
What we Need the Most: P4 & Duo Core PCs, Laptops, LCD Monitors and Empty Toner/Ink Cartridges
100% of all cash donations support the homeless!
