NALCAB -- the National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders with support from Citi will host NALCAB 2010 Summit on Building Wealth in American Communities to continue our conversation regarding the following key themes.

* Affordable housing, support for entrepreneurship and family wealth building services – while distinct practices - must be integrated to effectively build wealth in our nation’s asset-poor communities;

* Consistent with the administration’s approach, affordable housing and regional transportation infrastructure must be planned in tandem to ensure economically and environmentally sustainable development;

* There is an urgent need to develop asset-building infrastructure and initiatives in colonias on the US-Mexico Border and in emerging Latino communities such as in the Pacific Northwest and the Deep South.

* Invited guests from the Obama Administration include HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan and Administrator of the Small Business Administration Karen Mills.
