A Farewell to Tronn

Tronn Carson was a friend and an invaluable contributor to Green Moon Solutions. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to him and extend our sympathies to his family. Tronn died suddenly in early September. He was too young to go and the world is a sadder place without him.
Tronn grew up in the Washington, DC
area. He studied engineering at Brown University and law at the University of Virginia. Tronn applied his genius mind to software development. He worked for several political campaigns and non-profit organizations. He began working with Green Moon in 2004. Within 6 months of signing on, Tronn led a project to initial testing and successful deployment.
Tronn was a tireless worker, doing whatever it took to accomplish his tasks. He was also constantly on the leading edge of software development, working on technology previews and providing feedback to software manufacturers, such as Microsoft. Green Moon benefited from Tronn's ability to leverage the newest innovations. Case in point, we had a working product that was developed in ASP.NET 1.1, but Tronn convinced me to update it to version 2.0 when that technology became available. It was a painful, time-consuming, and costly conversion -- but since then we have benefited from Tronn's foresight.
Tronn was also fun to be with, having an upbeat attitude and cheerful perspective. Tronn had many interests, including politics, football, cooking, music, travel, and writing.
At his memorial service last weekend, I met many of his friends, colleagues, and family. It was clear that Tronn had a big heart and deeply touched everyone he was close to. Somehow, we will find a way to carry on -- but always we will think of Tronn as we start a new project, watch a football game, or recall fond memories of our time in his company.
Rest in peace my colleague, my friend.
